It felt as if she was suffocating. Her own body was killing her. She didn't know where the eagle had gone and she feared it would come back. Chapter One- The Saber
Normally it wouldn't have been a problem to wander through the woods without even the slightest hesitation. She knew the forest like the back of her hand... maybe even more. But under the trees, in the dead of night, without even the moon to help her find her way she struggled to keep on her feet on the tough terrain. The only indication that Dale was still behind her was the slight crunching of the leaves that shattered under his boots. He was better at this then she was, or at least that's what she thought anyway.

“Back off Kelsey!”
“You back off!”
“No! I’m dirtier, so I get to shower first!”
We’d been back home for a day, almost two. The sun was just starting to set on our second day, and Kelsey and I were both sprinting toward the crumbling remains of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Inside, in the hotel rooms, there were a few showers that almost worked properly. Of course, there was no warm water, and the water barely dribbled out of the showerhead, but it was good enough.
